Sharing is caring!

Who doesn’t need an A-frame every now and then, right?  So many uses for this thing!

I’ve been craving a new sign for my bakery for months upon months now. The bakery came with one of those A-frame signs with the slats that you pop the plastic letters in and out of.  It was busted in so many places and yellowing and just…. ewww!

With the stash of stuff I keep in my garage, this entire project was free.

Now listen closely… I am NOT saying it’s healthy to keep this much junk in your garage.  I am NOT advocating for junk hoarding in any way!

(just had to get that out of the way in case my dear husband is reading!)

But I do hoard, and some days, it actually comes in handy!

DIY A frame sign how to

We just cut some simple rectangles, with rounded edges, out of some wood we found laying around.  Attached hinges at the top and added some wooden legs with chains.  I spray-painted it blue and used my favorite Rustoleum chalkboard paint!  Then I painted some simple circles, because I’m all about the confetti look right now.

And, yes, I’m using this for my bakery, but wouldn’t it also be awesome for a yard sale sign??

Or even to announce which house a party is at?

Or you could use it as directional signs for a wedding… for a lemonade stand…

Honestly, guys, EVERY house needs an A-frame sign!  Especially when it’s free!

I left that extra blue area at the top, so I could cut vinyl out with my Silhouette for my bakery’s name, but you could easily just extend your chalkboard area.

Doesn’t my bakery name look completely Photoshopped on there?  I swear to you, it isn’t at all!

What would you use an A-frame sign for??  Give me some more great ideas!
