Today was my niece’s Spa Birthday party! I’ve been SO excited for today! I love, love, love a themed party and am going through a bit of withdrawal over here because I haven’t had one since November! So when I heard that my sister and one friend were both planning spa parties for their daughters, I was all about it.
Right after I found out the theme, I saw these ca-ute invitations over at The Shabby Nest that were beyond perfect! I passed the link along and sure enough a week or so later we got this in the mail
Perfect way to set the mood for the big shindig! There are a lot of pictures so I’ll try to go light on the words in this post!
I was actually allowed to make this pennant banner (the only thing I was allowed to do since my sister is a partier too!). She made the tissue paper flowers.
The party was in the middle of the afternoon so there wasn’t a meal to deal with. Just lots of yummy snacks!
For the cupcakes, she made lime and strawberry to keep with the color scheme! The cupcake toppers and the water bottle labels were purchased through One of a Kind Keepsakes on Etsy.
Then came the fun part, the par-tay!!! Each girl got a sheet when they arrived with their name on the top saying it was a day of pampering just for them at the spa. She outlined each station and what they would be doing at the station.
She had it split so there would be two girls at each station at a time and they all rotated at the same time.
There was the nail station.
The foot bath with soaking salts.
The facial stop which completely cracked all of us up!
And then there was the waiting area where there was a basket of little girl magazines for them to look at and they could get refreshments while they waited.
After the stations were over, all the girls made ribbon tie flip flops.
Then they played musical toenail polish. They all sat in a circle and started with a bottle of nail polish. They passed it around and when the music stopped, you painted one toenail the color you had in your hand. They kept repeating this ten times until they had ten different colored nails!
Then they got to grab a bag that already had their name on it and fill it with goodies from the favor table.
Such a fun party and one little girl even stopped me and said, “ahhhh, this is so wonderful!”. Happy Birthday to my first little niece! I love you!
