I have a few projects that are all halfway done, so I’m not quite ready to show you yet… so I thought we’d take a trip down memory lane.
These chocolate-covered Oreos were from my sister’s bridal shower and I’m just going to guess here and say it was about 7 years ago. Am I right, family?? Either way, it was way before my blogging days so no step by step here, just the end result!
(yes, I put them on the floor to take a picture. They were wrapped and everything was okay in the end)
For the tuxedo ones, I dipped them in white chocolate and let it harden. Then I dipped the bride ones in pink melted candy wafers and let that harden. The monogram ones were dipped in regular chocolate.
Once they were all set, I took the tuxedo ones and dipped it in melted white chocolate at an angle and then turned it and dipped the other side in from an angle to just leave the white “V” exposed.
Then I did the same with the bride cookie in melted white chocolate. Just dip each side in from an angle to form your “V”.
Then I literally just used a toothpick to draw on the pearl necklace and the buttons and bowtie. I just dipped my toothpick in the melted chocolate and kept drawing till they were all done.
For the monogram I did use a pastry bag with (I’m guessing here since it was so long ago), a #2 tip.
They were all wrapped up and put in a little box as the favor for the bridal shower!
