I once went out to dinner with a group of about 7 girlfriends. We chatted, ordered, chatted, got our meals, chatted.
At some point, I noticed that the manager was talking to our waitress and very obviously watching me. I tried to ignore it and kept right on talking. I looked up again and there they were, whispering and staring at me. Then the manager didn’t even try to hide the fact that he was motioning towards and still staring! I mentioned something to my girlfriends who agreed that he was definitely intent on me and something was up.
A minute or so later, he strolled over with our waitress and this is how it went down:
Manager: Ma’am, is everything okay with your dinner?
Me: Yes! It’s great, why?
Manager: Because you’re friends have all been done eating for about 45 minutes and you haven’t even taken one bite yet.
I did one of those slow motion sweeping glances around the table and looked up to see all my girlfriends nodding their heads to let me know that this was, indeed, true.
I managed a meager, “I like to talk a lot”, assured him I was pleased with my meal and he seemed satisfied.
Ever since then, whenever I am headed out with friends, my husband loves to remind me to let other people talk too!
Not a problem when this wrap is in front of me! I also love it as a salad or any other way that I can get the combo of these flavors.
There really isn’t much of a recipe, you’re just adding ingredients based on your own personal tastes! So these are all approximations but be sure to tweak it for yourself!
