Last year, we spent the Thanksgiving holiday at Disney World with my whole family (minus 2 who couldn’t make it). We’re a bit infatuated with Christmas decorations, and were just determined to see Disney World in it’s full glory!
And it didn’t disappoint!
We drove down (18 hours, I’m guessing, but I’ve blocked most of it). Hard to figure out how long it took since the drive down was a bit eventful. Driving down the highway, 6 hours from home… and we thought my dad died in the back seat. We ended up at a hospital in VA for 2 days (he had just passed out!), but eventually made it to Orlando… with about 8.6 million other people. Holy crowded parks, Batman.
But we were with these folks and it was all worth it!
Yes, trying to get a nice family pic for our Christmas cards didn’t turn out too well. Thank you husband for the lovely sling. I had ordered everybody for a month leading up to it that nobody was allowed to get sick. Naturally then, less than a week before we leave… he goes to play ice hockey, tears a ligament in his shoulder, drives his STICK car home by himself and hits a deer. Oh yes, this is my life.
But the kids had the most magical time… feeling like a princess…
and eating as many turkey legs as he wanted…
I love these crazy loons and am very thankful for my life. AND HAPPY TO BE HOME THIS YEAR!!!
