So the other weekend, I needed a quick treat to take to a friend’s and there was no time for a store run. Besides, who needs a store run when you’ve got a pantry like mine!!
Then I found a bag of chocolate chunks that were half empty. My choice was either to use them or leave them in the pantry where I would continue to snack on them until the bag was completely empty.
I had a bag of peanut butter cookie mix I used, but feel free to make a homemade batch if you’ve got the time and energy! After I made the dough, I took about a tablespoon and patted it flat and placed 2-4 marshmallows on top and about 3-4 chocolate chunks. (I know there’s obviously 2 of each in this picture, but as I went a long I started adding more and it was perfectly fine, so I highly recommend it!)
Then I just closed the dough around the innards and set them on the cookie sheet!
Bake according to the instructions and this is what you’ll get straight from the oven!
These turned out better than I expected and my kids LOVED them! Plus there was hardly a mess since the fingers never really touched the marshmallow or melted chocolate.
Unless you broke them open, of course.
And once I put the camera down, we were ready to head to our friends… goodies in tow!.
