I’m trying to quick get in the last of our home-made Christmas gifts before February hits.
No real significance there, it will just make me feel like I’m a little on-top-of-things
if I can at least say I posted them in January!! So we’ll combine the last few here.
My son had his cousin (about the same age and best buds) in the cousin, home-made exchange, so he made him a bulletin board! We found the framed bulletin board at Goodwill for $2. I taped it off and he painted the whole thing himself. I cut some stencils out for him and he took care of all the letters too. All I did was Mod Podge the letters down. I actually had the board turned the opposite way with the letters going down the side and he decided he liked this way better and I agree!
My daughter had her gift made by one of her girl cousins, who made her the cutest little earring frame! Perfect timing since she had just gotten her ears pierced about a month before Christmas!
And my 21 year-old brother pulled my husband’s name! He couldn’t come up with anything,
so I told him to make a shirt with the Honey Badger saying. I LOVE THIS SHIRT!!!
I never thought he’d get a pocketed t-shirt! And apparently, even this flustered him, because
he had my sister make the “H” to help him get started! The “N’s” absolutely crack me up
every time I look at them. I honestly do laugh out loud. The best part was when he
announced he was up until 11:45 on Christmas Eve working on it and my
husband said, “Why?”. Although, according to my dad, it was because he only started at 11:42.
There were other gifts too… PVC marshmallow shooters for some of the boys, a
handmade pop-up book, a cookie of the month club, a menu for a gourmet meal, a
hand-painted pillow, a gorgeous end table and one more that I’ll post on Wednesday!!!
It was fantastic and we’ll definitely be doing a handmade exchange again next year
(well, I mean, I’m only 1 out of 20-some people, but I think we should!)!
