Cinnamon Sugar Pretzels

These delicious pretzels are the perfect combination of salty and sweet! A great snack to always have on-hand using mostly ingredients you already have!

  • 2 bags pretzels
  • 1 cup vegetable or canola oil
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 tbsp cinnamon


  1. Preheat oven to 225 degrees. On 2 cookie sheets, spread out pretzels in even layers.

  2. In a small bowl, mix vegetable oil, sugar and cinnamon. Pour evenly over pretzels and stir to coat. Be sure to scrape along the bottom of the pans to make sure all the pretzels are coated. 

  3. Bake in preheated oven for 20 minutes. Remove and stir well. Bake for another 20 minutes then repeat steps. You should bake for a total of about 60 minutes. 

Recipe Notes

You can use any type of pretzel that you have on-hand. I prefer to use the bags of broken sourdough pretzel pieces, because they coat evenly and hold onto a lot of the cinnamon sugar mixture.

You can bake for less time if you want. I prefer to bake for about an hour because it helps the cinnamon sugar mixture bake onto the pretzel so they aren't as sticky and it isn't falling off everywhere.
